NASA HUNCH Academy at Dade Elementary

High School students have been participating in the NASA High School Students United with NASA to Create Hardware (HUNCH) program since 2003.  The mission of HUNCH is to promote STEM interest while having students engaged and hands-on projects that are of value to NASA!

Dade Elementary and Davis Elementary are currently part of a pilot program that will be extended to other K-8 schools starting in the 2024-2025 school year. The HUNCH Academy allows students to experience what it is like to be an engineer or a scientist working side by side with others to understand and explore something of importance to NASA.  These projects will help teachers meet the STEM standards for elementary and middle school students.
