Important Information:

PTO will be sponsoring our second annual FAMILY ART NIGHT on November 30th 2007 from 6:00-8:00PM, this is a Friday evening. A piece of artwork from every child at Dade Elementary School will be displayed at the Artshow, on that night. The children will be so proud to show what they have done. Each piece of artwork will be framed and presented like a real art show. The framed artwork will be available for parents, grandparents, and family to purchase if they choose but there is no obligation to do so. It will be fun for parents and children just to come and see the artwork displayed. Free Christmas crafts will also be available for the children to participate in that evening. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available for $.50 each. It is sure to be a fun evening for all so be sure not to miss it! If you are available to help with family art night please contact any of the PTO officers or leave a note at the front office and we will be sure to call you.

Our Holiday Christmas Shop will be held December 5th, 6th and 7th (Wednesday-Friday). Gifts will be available for students to purchase for their family. Prices of the gifts will range from $1.00-$10.00. The shop hours will be from 11:30-2:30. We will hold the Christmas shop for three days this year and location is to be determined, possibly the Steve Ruff Room. If you are willing to help with the Holiday Shop your time would be greatly appreciated, let an officer know or leave a note at the front office.

PTO will be selling DISCOUNT CARDS again this year but NEW and IMPROVED. The cards will look like a credit card with several offers that will be unlimited in use and good for the year. The card will sell for $10.00. If this fundraiser is successful PTO could raise a lot of money that would in turn be invested in our children and improving our school. So get the word out that the discount cards will be coming out soon (hopefully by the second week in November) and they have 15 to 20 money saving deals on them. What a great way to help the school and get your money back out of it too.

PTO has had several suggestions from parents and teachers alike on what they feel PTO money would best be spent on. Once we complete the sale of our first big fundraiser (the discount card) we will decide which suggestion we will be able to fund and would be the greatest investment for all.

Any suggestions or questions you may have for PTO are welcome. There is a PTO box in the front office at school and all messages will be returned.
